This group, formed from a set of regular theatre- goers, enjoys some seven visits each year to theatres in Bristol and Plymouth to see productions which are not available locally. These have recently included performances of 'La Fille Malgarde' and Edward Elgar's 'Enigma Variations' by the Birmingham Royal Ballet as well as 'Cats' and ' Blood Brother'

Local theatres, such as the new, award- winning Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe and the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple, are also attended on a regular basis with performances by the Bolshoi Ballet and the Welsh National Opera being amongst the works most recently enjoyed.

During the summer months two special visits are made to the Minack open-air, cliff theatre at Porthcurno, close to Land's End in the adjacent county of Cornwall. Here, in a dramatic, open-air setting we have over recent years enjoyed 'Hello Dolly', 'Fiddler on the Roof', 'H.M.S. Pinafore', ' The Three Musketeers' and 'Pendragon'.
