The rambling Group has been operating for many years meeting on a Friday morning, on a monthly basis, for a walk of four to five miles followed by a pub lunch.

This year, despite the record rainfall, the group managed to avoid getting wet even once and the Devon countryside, although extremely muddy, remained as beautiful as ever. We are fortunate to have the choice of moorland walks on nearby Exmoor, or coastal walks along the Devon and Somerset coastal footpath, along with many miles of trails maintained by the National trust.

Members use their own cars to get to designated starting points with sharing being encouraged.

A view along the coastal path looking towards Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. Here the cliffs drop steeply down to the waters of the Bristol Channel.
