The Music Appreciation Group meets mainly for the enjoyment of light music. Drawing upon a substantial record collection the development of West End musicals from 1900 to 1980 has been followed. In addition, the works of Gilbert and Sullivan and Ivor Novello have also been enjoyed as well as music from the war years which, for many members, brought back special memories.
