This group started in its present form in 1991. Its programme has been based on visits to places of historic interest - principally stately homes, country houses, civic buildings and churches - initially within the locality and later further afield in Devon, Somerset, Cornwall and Dorset.

For each of the last five years a three day study tour has taken place in St Ives, Bath, Dorchester, Shaftesbury, Gloucester and for 20001, in Falmouth.

During the spring and autumn the programme is supplemented by talks on specialised subjects.

There are currently eighty-eight members, approximately half of the membership of the North Devon Coast U3A.

Excursions are by private car to allow for personal choice and flexibility but the opportunity is taken to make communal arrangements for lunch. Below are a few photographs from recent visits.
