Meeting on a monthly basis at the convenor's home, the Discusssion Group divides its sessions into two parts using the first for the debate of current issues raised by members and the second for previously announced topics. These have ranged from, 'Genetically Modified Crops' to, 'Sex Education in Schools'. More recently, the subjects have included, 'Crime and Punishment, does the punishment fit the crime?'
